This
year we are very excited to be celebrating
our 50th anniversary. One of the main reasons
that we have been able to keep our doors open
for so long is the word-of-mouth referrals
we get from our customers. Without that our
business would have closed a long time ago.
As we progress through 2009 we will be sharing
some of our history and having some special
activities in celebration of our 50th anniversary,
so stay tuned.
We believe that word-of-mouth referrals are
the life line of any small business. That
is why on our web site and in our e-newsletters
we promote other Sanford small businesses.
As we develop relationships with more small
business owners we will post their link on
our site. We hope that you will give them
a try and tell your friends and family about
them as you have done with us.
ALIVE AFTER FIVE CHILI RESULTS
If you missed the last Alive After Five you
missed some really good chili. We were very
excited to win 2nd place in the judges contest.
Hope Beverly, our Administrative Assistant,
cooked up the winning recipe. We gave out
over 350 samples and met a lot of really nice
people. Check out the News section below for
details about the next Alive After Five event.

The Alive After Five event
allows visitors to enjoy a taste food, drinks
and live entertainers on the second Thursday
of every month. A small fee of $5 allows you
to sample food and beverages at all of the

The
Celery Ball will be a night of food and fun
on March 7, 2009 at the Sanford Civic Center.
We will be dancing through the years with
live music performed by “Then 2 Now”,
have samplings of culinary delights prepared
by local restaurants and we will even get
a “taste of Celery Soup” performed
by community performers.
A Celery King and Queen will be selected and
we hope to generate the funding for our first
Celery Soup performance. You won’t want
